7.5 acre stage – the size of 5 football pitches with a full size lake at its centre.

34 performance horses – the finest riding and driving horses sourced from around the world.

280 pyrotechnical effects.

Over 1800 costumes – painstakingly stitched, crafted and accessorised in fabric, leather and chainmail.

Christmas festival Durham City 4th/6th Dec

We are now looking forward to Durham's award-winning, annual Christmas Festival returning for 2015 - from Friday 4th December for three days.

Tickets for the Craft and Gift Marquee are now on sale -  Prices remain as they were last year.  

At the entrance, tickets for the Craft and Gift Marquee will cost £3 on Friday and £4 on both Saturday and Sunday. However, if you buy your ticket online in advance you will get a 50 pence saving on every ticket bought (that is £2.50 for Friday and £3.50 for Saturday and Sunday).  

Please note, tickets are not required for the Producers' Market in the Cloisters of Durham Cathedral.
